a tank, built to use.

this is the folding version of the Tops workhorse Brothers of Bushcraft fieldcraft. It is slightly smaller, but viewed with a little separation, they are remarkably similar. I have put this folder through many of the same tests I use on a fixed blade bushcrafting knife. I will say that I did not baton with it. I would never recommend batoning ANY folder, no matter what people say about the lock up. but for whittling, shaping wood, carving tools and shelter elements, and even dressing small animals, it performed better than any folder I have ever tried. the 1095 steel requires some care, but with a bit of oil, and standard edge maintenance this will out perform almost any other folder you could find. it takes well to being stropped between sharpening, but is fairly easy ( as 1095 tends to be) to sharpen on fine natural stone or diamond stones. the ONLY thing I would have changed if I were making it would be a heavier lock. I would have made it lock back, or axis.
