TOPS Did it again

TOPS venture into a kitchen/camp knife is a winner. The knife is so light, yet has the typical TOPS quality and strength. Sharp is an understatement for this blade. You can slice and dice tomatoes paper thin, meat is a breeze, and all kinds of vegetables and fruit just melt through this knife. Extremely impressive as most TOPS blades. The geometry is superb for meal preparation, the handle extremely comfortable, and the overall quality is what I have come to expect from TOPS. Best of all it proves that knives made in the USA are still the best!

Not designed for dishwashers

Tops needs to make a dishwasher safe version. I think we all know most buyers will be using this for food prep. still 5 stars.

gift for my dad

I bought this as a gift for my dad. He has a vacation house that completely lacks a proper kitchen knife. There is no knife block, and limited space. This knife with it's all around utility and sheath was a perfect fit. I have not had the chance to use it yet, but my dad absolutely loves it. Because it's carbon steel I've advised him to keep it oiled, so it's not maintenance free, but it'll be a great all-rounder for food prep tasks at his vacation home.

poor construction

nice knife, but after using it lightly for 2 weeks, the handle is loose. Have to pay 25% of price of knife to ship it back and forth to TOPS for them to fix. Lousy return policy, handle is comfortable but poorly attached.
