Good Fighting Knife

If you want a really good fighting knife, then this is the one for you. It feels great in the hand, perfectly weighted. Light and fast during thrusts and cutting movements. The handle stays grippy even when wet and dries fast as well It comes razor sharp and with a wicked point. This knife is made for penetrating and slashing. The knife is sturdy and tough although it feels light in the hand. The kydex sheath is amazing, perfect for the blade, not too bulky but practical and looks good. The bottom line is if you want a fighting knife this is it. If you want a survival knife, look elsewhere because doing survival stuff - batonning etc - will ruin this knife and that would be a shame. There is a review online that says its a survival knife, believe me it is not. Also be aware that a patina will develop on 1095 steel knives after sometime, which is normal and wont affect functionality. Just keep it dry and oiled with a good knife oil. This knife is not for everyone but if you reviewed the pertinent points i noted above and still are interested, then give it a shot. It comes with a protective coating. After-sales service from Tops was excellent FYI. Best regards and good luck.

Great all around knife...

Rugged and very well balanced blade. Did not come that sharp, but a quick swipe on a steel and it was cutting paper. I'm very happy with the purchase. Plus super fast shipping from Knifecenter. A++

Magnificent large knife, designed for combat. The quality of the knife is impeccable, as well as the kydex sheath which fits really well. Strong and sharp carbon blade, but you need to know how to maintain it properly. Overall it is perfect and it is surely the best in its field. The only slight negative point, at least for a collector, would be that it is packaged in a plastic bag and nothing else.

Update: Thoughts/Advice

Hi Everyone, Just wanted to update you all on the Legion which i have had now for close to a year. I have also adjusted my ratings/reviews. On the whole i am happy with it and i do not regret my decision to buy it, but please note the following points if you are thinking of buying the knife. If You are looking for a pure fighting knife consider these points - 1. This knife doesnt have quillions (the bits that stick out near the guard). That means if you block a knife strike and the opponents blade glances of yours, it can slice your fingers . This could probably end the fight for you. If you are aware of that before you can adjust your tactics. 2. The blade steel 1095 does discolor but that doesnt affect functionality. It can be annoying though. 3. I still havent found a use for this knife except combat, which can also be annonying :) 4, Take a look at another excellent TOPS knife the Desert Nomad ( Gideon's Tactical has an excellent review on youtube) I cant afford it or i would buy it to check it out In closing, i am happy with the super light weight, the sharpness and the point and also the swedge. When one is trained properly on this knife and understand its strengths and weaknesses, it is a formidable weapon indeed. Here's to never having to use in in anger. best regards, Evan
