OK, Call Me a Girlie-Man, But…

…I like this knife. Check out the long primary grind on this thing, almost to the spine. It’s a slicing machine. I like the TOPS C.U.T. 4.0 (an excellent knife of somewhat similar design), but I like the grind on the Lioness, better. Thinner blade on the Lioness (.13” VS: .19”) promotes better slicing (ever get a sharp, thick blade stuck in a mushroom?), and I believe the 1/8” plus spine sufficient to hold up to punishing duties, perhaps, as well. This trailing point is pregnant with belly (lotta’ edge, here). Lioness is nimble in the hand, though the grip may be a tad small for my big hands, but that is stated in their description, so, I sure can’t ding them any stars, there. I’ve never complained about the grip on their Street Scalpel, or Idaho Field Knife, and the Lioness has much more real estate in the handle than those two. Could they offer optional, thicker scales for those of us with big paws? TOPS should put the Lioness’s blade on their C.U.T. 4.0 grip, and call it the Lion King, or the Epa-Swana-noza-gon, C.U.T. Cat 3.5 (and send me a free one for dreaming it up). I think it would be a top seller. Love their rotating sheaths! Don’t let her feminine name hold you back, though. This thing is meaner than a cornered catamount. Well, it’s been several days now, and I don’t feel any more feminine for having purchased Lioness. I was wondering, though, does this sheath make my butt look big, girlfriend? ; )
