Good knife, not Scandi
I purchased this knife based on TOPS' advertising it as a "Scandi" knife. Since it has almost no resemblance to a Scandinavian knife, my assumption was that the grind was a Scandi grind- which is why I bought it. Well, it does not have a Scandi grind. I even wrote TOPS about it. Their response was that, since it looks like the BOB kinfe, I shouldn't have expected a Scandi grind, never mind what their literature and advertisements said. Now, having said that, let me say this is an excellent little knife. The fit and finish is superb. I wound up convexing the edge and have been more than pleased at both the toughness and performance. I also have the BOB, and this makes a great companion to it, or any other larger knife. I have skinned both rabbits and squirrels, used it for food prep, and various camp chores, and it has done well. It is great as a neck knife. The kydex sheath is tough and holds the knife without fear of loss. In closing, there is nothing Scandinavian about this knife. I prefer puukkos and Scandi grinds for bushcraft. However, in spite of my objections to TOPS' marketing, I can find no fault with this knife. If you want something smaller for EDC or to throw into a pack for camp chores, this knife is great.
