I bought this knife for two reasons, 1) Was looking for a more compact but still rugged survival knife, 2) Was looking for a knife that was built with a focus on processing wood, (the pervious contender shall remain nameless, that it looks anything like a “BK22" is (almost) purely coincidental). This is a light blade for a survival knife, has enough weight to chop, but its designed and built for battoning wood, (which I prefer) it has a beveled spine, (to reduce contact friction while splitting wood) and a flat sweet spot on the front of the blade (for hitting….with a stick) it has a very nice grip, that has a gradual tapering of the handle towards the blade, and it is very comfortable when you choke up on the finger choil, has a steep primary and secondary grind (that could be an issue to some), and a solid kydex sheath with a rotatable spring steel clip on the back, (the clip is strong enough, but I would have liked Molle/Pals). The size (and therefore weight) of this knife was no doubt chosen to reduce the load due to shock of snatch force when a parachute deploys, Yet this does not reduce the practical function of this blade one bit, one of my favorite knives,
