Was the design supposed to come from the Abyss Watcher's side weapon?
Aside from the Dark Souls 3 Abyss Watcher's blade reference this Karambit is stunning. Having been trained in curved knives for a little over fifteen years now, mainly Karambits which was the first blade I was introduced to and wanted again after about four years, the full tang construction is of no hindrance with performance and training. The weight is balanced and proportioned to where an experienced student could manipulate and control the movements and direction of the arcs and stabs. With well taught wrist, joint and power of movement control (not including several other aspects and properties) this can be used efficiently, effectively and exceptionally dangerous in single stand training or in an actual combat situation. The out-side blade (as little as there is but it is more than enough) can be used to catch some-one off guard or if the person is fatigued from stress and/or combat stress, or deflecting, will perform just as well in dual edge techniques. The skull cracker on the end will do much more than that in the right hands (or the wrong hands). The quality is amazing, no loose parts (solid), full tang construction (always a plus), Dark Souls 3 rip-off (joke) and a comfortable grip. And this blade is meant to be wielded with a glove because of the over-sized ring. Post Script: the sheath is nice too (well constructed) Post Post Script: This blade is for "serious operators" and should not be taken lightly. I do recommend because this blade because this is one beautiful Karambit; but for those who want to display, keep-sake, actual use (practice, train or combat) or those who will still wear this concealed in public (for defense only); if there comes a time to think about using any weapon in an actual high risk imminent combat situation, as an absolute last resort, the person who draws their weapon out for any intention of use; needs to know when to draw a weapon as a last resort and if drawn needs to know how to properly and safely use the weapon, or the weapon in use will not be the only thing you lose. (Depending and regarding to Federal and State laws but not limited to your nearest local Law Enforcement Dispatch that has jurisdiction in your area.)

Tops Karambit
Excellent Karambit, it is quite large ,but easy to carry and use,it is the ultimate as far as this style goes ,I highly recommend this if you like large knives .

Combat Karambit
The TAC-TOPS combat karambit is the usual TOPS Knives quality. "I did have to work the edges a little with a diamond hone to get a good cutting edge." Other than this one over-site; everything about this knife exceeds the industry standard! The knife itself, and the Kydex sheath, etc., were of superior quality.

Good esthetics poor design.
Firstly I have to say that I expected more from tops. Haven't had one before and was really exited to see how good they really are. Well, I'm not impressed. Sheath first: oversized and only one way to carry it, inside the waistband. Wouldn't be such a big problem but the scull crusher is poking my side to the point that total madness kicks in. Would it be to much to ask to get a tek lok for a 200$ knife (it costs that much in Sweden) instead of a flimsy rubber belt loop? Boker does it why can't tops. And u don't even get rivets in every hole which wouldn't be to much to ask for. And would prefer a pan cake style instead of a fold over so u get more lashing holes all way around. Holds the blade but only just. Would not hang it vertical because of that. Rattles a lot to. Knife now: Now that beast of a knife: it's huge! Which I like. Not a flipper but why flipp anyway? Just people showing off. Never seen it in a combat situation and for good reasons. The ring is ok except for two things, first the inside of it is 90 degrees = uncomfortable for finger. Secondly there's no jimping for the thumb. And most surprisingly..... Not sharp. And I mean not even a little.... Not the main blade nor was it on the top one. Which takes me to the top "edge". Not sharp and the grind makes it even harder to get sharp. Actual cutting edge is probably half an inch or so. Main edge couldn't even cutt paper so work is needed to get one that does. Overall I really see potential in this knife but will probably get another sheath for it. If u just want a cool karambit you're better of with a schrade 112 or 111. And a bark river ghost if u want a more quality knife.
