Best Knife I've bought and used! Great tool!!

Scout!, you're a xxxx. I've read various reviews from people complaining about the weight of this knife(similar knives). Stop crying and being pansies!! This is a tough knife with a lot of possible uses. Not to mention it looks bad xxx. No it is not too much knife for beginners and no you do not have to "pay your dues!" Lol. You will not be disappointed with this knife!! I love it!

Yes - you can throw it

1) Yes it is a real hard steel knife you can throw 2) No it is not a Dave Beck WSK, but it is much less expensive and - you can throw it 3) If you throw it - there is no damage to the lower working blade - and the handle seems to hold up very well to impacts. This thing is a beast - you can beat it up. It is not super heavy, but won’t fit in your pocket. If you have some property to play around on - get one. If you are even thinking about it - Get it! It is a beast. As a former Green Beret and growing up running around West Virginia - this is a great value for the price. If you are looking for something to use as a knife for use as a GB - well then get a Murray Carter FS1(don’t throw it - the FS1 is a super durable steak knife). I will update if I happen to break or chip it - but with 1095 I don’t see that to be too likely. (Yeah - I tried the Bark River Trakker (too weird and huge), and have a Dave Beck WSK( which is perfection - but hard to get.))

Who is this Hallam?

Scout, Look I've paid my dues in the bush.... Errr rather I think I have.. The fact is I don't know what that means, BUT that's not the point! The point is that I will pay whatever is required if someone could just please tell me who this Hallam is. I'm so not "cool like Hallam" that I don't even know who Hallam is. On a side note I've had a Tracker for 4 or 5 years now and while it's not my favorite survival type knife anymore (I prefer to carry a bushcraft style knife and a folding saw these days as they weigh about the same as the Tom Brown tracker does alone) the knife has never let me down in the field. 1095 is tough stuff and the heat treat seems pretty good. Mine didn't come very sharp as I recall, but that was 5 years ago who knows how they come now.

Great knife

This knife is very good knife that is well made. The knife is a little heavy but is also heavy duty. the blade is very sharp with a two step design. The sheath is made of plastic an can only be carried sideways which is a draw back.
