Pros: Overall Quality
Cons: Sheath/Scabbard, Usable

Very nice piece!

Actual measurements for the blade are 29⅛". The description states "false edged blade", but mine has a nice utility edge on it that I don't consider ultra-sharp, but it's not false and I like it that way. The metal handle has a good leather grip and a brass plated vine of sorts on it. You know when you're holding this thing in your hand, as it has a good weight to it. Unlike some other pieces made by United that I've held, this one had a feel of some good quality craftsmanship. I like it. The only con is that there is no scabbard or sheath for it and it's a little expensive unless your a LOTR junkie.

Not a sword...

The above review and the description are slightly misleading. The sword definitely has a false edge or "yelmen" when means the spine of the sword is sharpened close to the tip of the blade in addition to the main edge. It's also fairly historically accurate compared to some pole weapons used in India and Japan (called a nagamaki in Japan) in addition to being a perfect replica from the LOTR movies. This is a great, unusual weapon to add to a sword collection.
