Great tactical spear

A sharp piece of steel has great utility. I am unlikely to ever use this as a spear is intended, but it is a back-up. It has very sharp edges that come to point. A better sheath is needed because it has open areas that allow fingers to come in contact with the point when putting the sheath on. I am very satisfied with this spear.

Nice Spear but Crappy Sheath!

Rubberized sheath is ok but the design is dangerous. The opening and closing point of the sheath requires the blade to slide over the top of the clasp to enter/exit the groove of the sheath and doesn't allow easy entry/exit without your thumb/hand coming in contact with the blades edge. If I needed to remove the sheath quickly for self defense, I would probably severely cut myself in the process. The sheath design of the M48 Magnum should be used. The finger grips are too close to the blade as well. A spear is used for thrusting and my hand will never be that close to the end for that. As in the video, my hands are at least 3-4 inches further from the end than the finger groves when holding/carrying and will be below the first notch when thrusting. Recommend adding additional finger grooves just above the circular groves at the center of the handle. Overall this is a pretty decent spear with a high quality feel.

another cool hikeingstaff

well made ,nice thick blade. only reason i gave four out of five stars is the handle could be ,6 to 8 inches longer for taller folks when used as a walking stick. I like it andwould recomend.
