Pros: Blade Material, Handle Material, Finish, Usable
Cons: None
Kinda Kitchy - Kinda Cool
This Wakizashi is far from any traditional standard. It is not traditionally ground or beveled, I’d say the blade steel uses term Damascus very loosely, and the blade was so dull and useless that I had to reset the edge bevel, twice (because a didn’t put in the correct angle the first time). But nonetheless, this thing is eye catching and I keep finding my self drawn to it. It has pretty good balance to it, about 2” above the pommel. The handle material feels good and the scabbard has great retention of the blade without any rattles. Overall it gets a 4.3 because the blade sharpness, but I can’t choose that so a four it is.
