I have to say, these knives have really held up. I plan on updating my review periodically every few weeks or so. Since my one knife bent, I have placed it in a vice grip and bent it back into shape ever so delicately (by hand). Now i don't even notice that it was slightly bent in the first place. If you decide to do this place a cushiony piece of rubber or something to absorb the force of the vice grip so it doesn't affect the finish on your knife. Anyhow, these knives are great, my buddy who threw them for his first time, who had only had previous experience with much smaller throwers, stuck it on his 2nd and 3rd tries! They're certainly the knives you want for your first set. Also the guys at KnifeCenter are quite helpful and provide the confidence you want and need in a supplier.

Gil Hibbing throwing knives

I'm new to throwing and read that a little bigger knife was better to learn on. These rotate well. They're sharp but not too. I bent one of the tips but it straightened nicely. The sheath is good quality. They may be a little heavy for smaller folks.

Super sweet

These knives are great! I am use to the elcheapos from the army navy stores, so I ordered these for the size and overall looks. The weight of these are great for me...not to heavy but not to light! They throw well by blade or handle and are comfortable either way. Nice and thick and durable. I am thinking about ordering some more of these or maybe the smaller versions. You won't be sorry if you get these!.....only downside is the sheath....I will probably make my own...but the supplied one works..just not pretty!

i dont own these BUT to me they look as if he was trying for a mini-bo-kri look! if so i hope they work as well as the bo-kris,(which i own), because those throw and handle like a dream!!!

Very Nice Throwers

I really love these knives as my first real set of throwers, however, after throwing one of my 3 knives about 200(give or take) times or so, {[I throw only one knife at a time because I'm no pro yet,}] I happened to very very slightly bend the tip of the blade.....not very noticeable but I noticed it as I check the blade after every mis-throw and it very slightly bent after I missed one too many times throwing in the dark at a couple old. hard, logs in my back yard. The bend doesn't affect the throw-ability as far as I can tell as of now. Other than the slight bend that hopefully can be fixed, these are definitely recommended as a good first set of throwing knifes for any beginner. btw, the sheathe isn't the greatest, I wonder if the leather sheathe that comes with the competition throwers is any better...maybe that will be my next purchase.

Aside from having a razor sharp edge, which i think a throwing knife shouldn't have, i threw these literally three times before damage - one knife hit another and the razor edge now has two big chunks taken out of it.
