I dig it!

I use my new Synergy X Alox at least once per day. The knife is locking and feels really secure. I use the scissors a lot and even pruned off some pesky woody bits of rosemary with no problem. I'm pleasantly surprised by the package opener, works as described and helps keep my main blade sharp. I've used the small flat and regular flathead drivers for small tasks when I didn't have my dedicated screwdrivers on me while at work. Not a substitute, but in a pinch, perfectly fine. Nail file is ok, I prefer the diamond one on my SAK Rambler. I'm stoked that it has a pocket clip, I wish the clip was like my other pocket knives: removable and repairable.

Nearly perfect

In my opinion, this is the closest Victorinox has come to the perfect edc SAK. If I could just swap the nail file to the awl it would make it so. Also, if there was ever a version I wished for an upgraded blade steel, it would be this one, even just to 14C28N for some better edge retention. The blades locking mechanism is a little stiff and awkward but I’ve made peace with it as it’s not what Victorinox does. Regardless of the nit-picking, this is still the best version for my edc needs they’ve ever done. It is worth the purchase and has made all my other alox SAKs nearly obsolete.

heavy and clip not grabby - risky combo!

Very nice knife although the clip is not very tight and both the clip and the handle under it are smooth so not very grabby. The knife is heavier than one of the same config with plastic scales, so I'm afraid that the knife can slip out of a pocket even while clipped if at the wrong angle, e.g. while sitting/reclining.

Nice Knife

This knife is a little pricey compared to the other similar Alox models for adding a liner lock and pocket clip. I think the liner lock is a bit hard to press compared with other liner locks I own and I honestly don't even think it was necessary to add I felt the slip joint was fine. Also I know a lot of people asked for pocket clips. For me a knife this size can fit just fine in your fifth pocket without one and others complain that the clip does not have great retention. Overall I'm happy with my purchase but probably could have just bought a similar Alox without the clip and liner lock for half the price.
