Plain and simple, the best edc Victorinox out there. Great saw, two blades thinly ground enough to cut like razors, and the classic bottle and can opener that make it a SAK.

Tinker with a saw
I love the tinker knife but when I saw this I knew I had to have it. The regular screwdriver stops at two points to get more leverage. The saw if perfect for small tree limbs. This is the perfect edc for any day hiker.

Critical tool for the hiker or camper
I carried a Victorinox Hiker during multiple canoe camping trips over the course of at least a dozen summers. It offers a great mix of tools in a reasonably compact package. The large and small knife blades are wickedly sharp right out of the box and are easily renewed with a few strokes across a sharpening stone when they eventually dull. The star of the show, however, is the very effective saw blade, which can quickly harvest saplings or branches up to an inch or so in diameter -- just the size for use as tent stakes, hiking staffs or tarp poles and shelter frames. The can opener is as effective as those included in any "scout" knife and better than most. All the blades and springs are highly corrosion resistant. The only downside is that, like any carefully-fitted precision tool, Swiss Army knives don't react very well to lots of sand or mud. While you will probably need another, larger blade for some tasks around camp, you'll use your Victorinox Hiker a dozen times for every time you reach for the larger blade.

I agree with Jim 100% The tinker was my favorite SAK but the hiker has the addition of the saw and is now my favorite for edc. It is normal victorinox quality and will be picking up more of this model. Only wish they would upgrade steel used on some models buy you really cannot go wrong with a SAK.

Keep in center console of my car. All the usual great swiss army features plus the addition of a great saw. Always have it readily available. Strongly recommend if you even think you might want a saw
