Swiss Army Knife S18 with EvoGrip

I was looking for a Swiss Army Knife that did not have the obligatory cork screw. This knife had all the features I needed. The EvoGrip is great and provides a very secure feeling. I also like the locking blade feature. I really did not need the saw blade but it is a nice extra. I do miss the small blade but the other features make up for it. I was very impressed with the improved scissors, the wimpy piece of metal that controlled the old scissors has been replaced with a heavy duty piece of metal that is a big improvement. The price was right, the service was great, and I received the order before the expected date. Highly recommend this knife.

GOOD KNIFE, BAD BLADE LOCK

Excellent knife like many I have used before for the last seventy years. Only problem is the blade lock which is hard to use and make it a two handed operation to close. I miss the ability to hold the knife in one hand and then fold the blade against my leg or some other option while still having the other hand working on the job.

Field master with a lock

This is the Fieldmaster with a lock and non slip scales. I love the scissors on the evogrip way better than the spring on a Victorinox models. The lock is what made me buy it but I must admit it’s a disappointing feature. It works well but it’s placement jabs you in the palm when using the knife and for pocket carry it’s real annoying. It sticks up off the top of the scale and is poorly designed. You have to sheath this one for belt carry. Don’t get me wrong I’m a Victorinox fan and have over 30 in my collection but this one will not go out much for edc. The lock should have been done like the Adventurer model.
