Excellent Multitool
If you're shopping for a multi-tool, put this on your short list. The tool assortment is great without being overboard. The Spirit X model comes with the regular clip-point blade, which I feel is a huge plus over the serrated sheep's foot blade that the regular Spirit comes with. The tools all lock open, and do so with a very smooth and positive "snick". I especially like the chisel point tool, it's unique and very useful. It works great for scraping or cutting so you can save the sharpness of the main blade for more delicate work. The pliers work very well, as do the wire cutters in the pliers throat. My one and only complaint is the scissors. Although they are sharp and work well, they're pretty small and do not open very far like other Victorinox scissors do. But that aside, I'm very happy with this tool. It's also fairly lightweight for what it is (7.4 ozs if I remember correctly) and the included leather sheath is sturdy and functional. I'd give it a 9.8 out of 10!
