THE full-size multi-tool to get

This is the one I have. Although they cost a pretty penny, you will not be disappointed. All the quality of their usual Swiss Army Knives is also in this tool. Note that this is the full size model, not the Spirit. X indicates it has a scissors instead of a serrated blade. (they both have plain edged blades) Personally, I can't see choosing the serrated blade over scissors unless you're a sailer or something. One of the reasons I like this so much is that all the tools, except the pliers, are accessible with the tool closed, so it doesn't take forever to find what you're looking for, like some of the Leatherman tools, which have tools on both sides of the handles. Also, all the tools lock, with a clever mechanism. One thing you should be aware of is that this is a HEAVY tool. Plan on carrying it in the included belt pouch, as it is way too heavy for pants pocket carry. It is also pretty big, so choose this only if you're willing to carry something a bit heavy on your belt.

The definitive multitool

Having owned other multitools by a different company for a long time, I can definitely say that the Swisstool X is far superior. The fit and finish is excellent and screams of quality. The polish makes for a beautiful product as well as superior rust resistance. With the other brand of multitools, rust was common issue that could make it difficult (if not impossible) to access the tools. First-rate tool selection. Tools included cover virtually any need. There are only two minor faults that I can find. First, I would like to see a more "modern" steel for the blade. That it not to say that the steel is of poor quality, however. Second, the sheath leaves much to be desired. It is cheap and does not secure the tool as well as I would like. That said, the sheath doesn't make the tool, and there are great aftermarket options. Some may criticize that the tools are not one-hand accessible, but, in my opinion, this is not an important issue. Overall, I can recommend this product with no hesitation or reservations whatsoever.

Tried others Still tops my List

I have had the Gerber, Sog, Leatherman multi tools and none come close to the ease of use and over all quality of the swiss tool. The only tool I would say is stronger would be the LM Super 300, but the tool need to be open to access the tools. That is my stickler. I like to be able to access the knife, screw drivers and other tools without having to open up the pliers. Only the Swiss tool allows all the tools to be accessed without opening them. Plus the tool, can open up to length and provide an extended reach. I tried the LM Super 300 for a month trying to change to leatherman, but I had to go back. Don't place your emphasis on the price of the tool, just buy it,
