i'm a polespear fisherman.i like to keep things simple.when i polespear a string full of large red fish,the last thing i want to to is destroy the meat with a crummy knife that dull fast.i've used all kinds of fishing knives,they all do the job,but this one is the fastest and cleanest fish filleter i've ever used.it sharpens to a hair shaving edge.you have to try one to see what i'm talking about.i also got a sheath from bladetamer.com ,which is made for this knife.
