Fits a non-SAK knife with 4.25 inch handle
I bought this to carry an AG Russell gunstock lockback, which has a 4.25 inch handle closed. It works quite well, and has a bit of extra room at the top and sides, but no flopping around.. It has enough interior padding to protect the bolsters adequately. I also have the polyester SAK pouch for my SAK Ranger, but it is too short for the AG Russell. The snap is easy to engage and disengage, and seems secure. The belt attachment is a bit of polyester webbing sewn onto the back, flat with the pouch, and thicker belts are a bit fiddly to pass through, but better that than too loose. It will easily fit a 2 inch belt, but is tight enough to fit my 1.5 inch belt securely. So far it is exactly what I needed. I hope the stitching and the snap are long lasting. The Ranger pouch has lasted for well over a decade of intermittent use.

Beware if you have older model Executive or other older 'medium' SAK
I have a 1970s era Executive that needed a new scissor spring. I am a user, not a collector. I have replaced multiple SAK scissor springs on multiple models over decades. I saw complaints on Amazon that these 'medium' springs did not fit some SAKs because the mounting curl at the bottom is too big, and also if the spring is installed, did not allow the scissor to close into the knife. I figured that there were fake springs being sold, so I bought these at Knife Center as a trusty vendor I have dealt with before. Turns out the complaints are valid. I destroyed several of these springs trying to press fit them to fit into the mounting hole on my Executive. Finally i used a micro tip pliers to narrow the curl at the mount end of the spring, and managed to press fit the spring into the scissor. Then I found that the scissor would not close into the knife because the spring is too wide in gape. I pressed the spring to more narrow gape (which is probably not good for it) and can barely get the scissor to close into the knife, still protruding a bit about the other blades. I noted that on my Director model (also discontinued, but a later model) the mounting hole for the scissors is actually larger, the scissor is slightly different in design, and probably fits these springs. So apparently those of us with older 'medium' model SAKs will eventually be unable to replace the scissor springs. Overall, an extremely tedious and frustrating experience, and the scissor no longer functions as designed. Time marches on.and Victorinox is apparently making orphans of their older models. Buyer beware. The KC staff member i spoke to on the phone to warn others about the misfit for some models of 'medium' SAK suggested I leave this review. I hope it saves others a few hours of frustration.
