it's a pull cutter!
I got this because it stuck out to me as weird, but in a good way. a knife with the edge on the wrong side? the official story is it was meant to have a thumb ramp, and somehow thus a more "sophisticated" look to it, but I saw it for what it is: a knife specialized for pull cutting. and from experience, I can assure you that it feels and performs perfectly for that role. if you want a more standard layout, get its twin, the quality of this knife is divine and I'm sure that holds true for all viper knives. but if you want a specialized pull cutter or something out of the ordinary, this is a great choice.
