Pros: Weight, Handle Material, Pocket Clip, Blade Material, Overall Quality
Cons: Lock Ease of Use
Great knife, just some nitpicks...
I would give this knife 5 stars if it weren't for the nitpicks. The fit/finish is really good overall and I like the thick carbon fiber slabs used for the handle and texturing near the pivot area, I like the pocket clip design, and the backspacer, plus the accent ring around the pivot screw - the stonewashed blue is a beautiful accent. The knife locks up tight for a liner locker that's so lightweight - as the liner lock has quite a bit of tension on it. Great for security, but you have to put in a little more effort to disengage. Not a big deal, just something to note. The rounded/polished edge on the top of the blade is a superb touch and the blade is quite thick with a nice flat grind...can't beat M390 either. Biggest complaint is the flipper - it's too small and it is polished with no jimping/serrations on it, so it's slippery. This is a huge oversight on behalf of Viper. The flipper should be a bit larger, have some texture, and not be polished - maybe make it a matte finish in the flipper area. Traction is necessary on the flipper to deploy the blade quickly. With it polished and no texture, it defeats the purpose of a flipper. Easy fix, otherwise superb knife.
