Solid and grippy
I'm addicted to magnacut knives. This one is a large knife with a contoured handle. What's not directly apparent until you use it is that the knife has two hand positions. One is all on the grip, and the other is with your index finger in the ample choil. What's cool is the blade has separate jimping for each grip! As to the lock, the button lock is solid and provides for a fidgety flippy opening/closing. But wait, there's more! There's also a back tab for opening and finger studs as well. Choose your method or mix them up. Came very sharp out of the box with no need for me to resharpen (unlike other brands-- looking at you, Benchmade!)
