Solid Whistle

I bout this for safety purposes when hiking in the mountains. It is plenty loud enough that I have to plug my ears to avoid damaging them. Of course this depends on how hard you blow it which is nice if I want to use it simply for signaling besides emergency situations. It feels solid and lightweight in the hand. It is smaller than I expected despite the accurate ~2” measurement listed. The hole for a chain or lanyard is actually very nice to hold onto so I think I’ll run some soft paracord through it rather than a chain. Although it is certainly pretty enough to wear as a necklace. I honestly don’t think the pictures do it justice besides the great job knifecenter did. It just catches the light perfectly that the gold and green actually work very well together. I’m definitely planning on buying my girlfriend one as a present.

In Agreement w/ Solid Whistle Reviewer

The result of an understanding we was whistle-less, and retail therapy. Whistles, a most useful of tools, was something we felt would "be nice to have around." Indeed, although we've had rare opportunity to actually enjoy its usefulness. That's not such a bad thing. Overall, elegant utilitarian construction. It is sufficiently loud (quite). Looks great on a keychain, keyring, lanyard, etc. etc. We tend towards favoring local cutlery markets and manufacturers. This whistle is an example of a non-USA made product that we don't see how it could be beat. Matched, absolutely. But how could anything beat this? The reason our rating is four stars instead of five may be a caveat: The internet tells us that metal whistles are less desirable than ones constructed out of plastic, because of cold metal's greater propensity to bond with moisture on the lips (next time you see a frozen metal pole, try giving it a few good licks). As whistles are something one put's to their lips, anyone planning to whistle in a cold environment, please take head. Personally, we've had no experiences of this phenomenon, as it may indeed pertain to this titanium whistle. Another little quip. Wish it could have been avaliable in more than two color schemes of the same the same design at time of purchase. . In short, this is our fancy pants "Town Whistle." We will be getting some solid plastic sometime, too, for snowy forests and mountains and such. Good to do business with knifecenter.com folks.
