I was surprised at this lamp's small size , and surprised even more by how much bright light it can crank out in "high" mode. It couldn't be any easier to load or use , one simple button takes you from "high" to "medium" to "low". The bottom unscrews for battery change - the top comes off if you want to hang it inverted. I use mine on "low" as a background light on my porch where AC outlets are scarce - I wanted something that would give light without eating a ton of batteries. I am highly pleased with this product and would purchase it again without hesitation.
