Fantastic knife sharpener

Recently purchased this knife sharpener and it has been a wonderful tool. If a person does not know how to use it, then they might be able to be trusted with a knife. Dang, this thing sharpens quickly and easily. Even my grandson got a perfect cutting edge the first time he used it. Filet knifes are so easy along with kitchen steak knifes! Have sharpened over 70 knifes and all if fine!

Finest sharpener I have ever used

I find the Warthog easy to set up and easy to use with minimum effort for maximum affect. Blades turn out the sharpest ever and it takes no effort at all to change angle. The Warthog is typically hard to find since its made in South Africa but the cost to effectiveness comparison is very comfortable and it does a superb job with little effort or experience. I highly recommend the Warthog V-Sharp Classic 11; try it and you will always keep one handy.

Warthog Sharpeners V-Sharp Classic ll

I am a Florida hog hunter and needed a quick way to re-sharpen knives used to dressing the big porkers. Their hair is like wire and the best knife will go dull quickly when cutting through it. The Warthog sharpener has a permanent home at our camp cleaning station. Great product!!!

V Sharp Curve

I have had a V Sharp Curve sharpener for close on 3 years now. I have 7 kitchen knives that I sharpen before every use.It is still keeping my knives sharp. I have now ordered another V Sharp Curve and a Classic II.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT

I LOVE THIS. I CAN ACTUALLY SHARPEN MY OWN KNIVES NOW. I HAVE SEVERAL AND I USE TO HAVE TO GET MY HUSBAND TO DO IT FOR ME BUT NOW I CAN DO IT MYSELF. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TO MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

Great sharpener

This is a great product. we sell them in our store and have had a display model on the counter for more than a year and it has sharpened hundreds of knives and still going strong. People who say this sharpener is complicated.....well, my 75 year old mother in law sharpens her kitchen knives on one and we have young kids sharpen their knives on our display model all the time. I don't know what is so complicated about it, but it is the easiest to use knife sharpener I have ever used. I put a shaving edge on a 25 year old buck....if it will sharpen that, it will sharpen just about anything.

Love the product

My husband uses this and he loves it. He hunts and is very picky about his knives being sharp when cleaning deer, etc. He also like to cook and definitely wants a sharp knife when preparing food.

Warthog-diamond in the rough.

I'd seen this years ago and was impessed. Simple, straightforward in my opinion. But their choice of abrasives in the basc model is poor. They give the roughest 350 grit diamond and a steel. The rough is great for getting a horrible edge back but after that is WAY too much for the only real abrasive rod when you'll need axlighter touch up and steel on regualr basis. A rough and medium or fine should have been offered. To get the other I have to buy another $30+ set.

WORKED OKAY FOR ABOUT A WEEK

BOUGHT THIS PRODUCT AFTER BEING RECOMMENDED FROM A FRIEND. GOT IT, USED IT FOR ABOUT A WEEK, THEN IT JUST WOULD SHARPEN ANYTHING. EVEN BEFORE IT QUIT WORKING, IT ONLY DID AN OKAY JOB. CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND THEY SAID I WAS PROBABLY USING IT WRONG AND THAT I WOULD NEED TO BUY ANOTHER SET OF RODS - $44.00 (INCLUDING SHIPPING). GOT ANOTHER SET OF RODS AND THEY STILL WORE OUT. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS, DID EVERYTHING IT SAID...TRIED IT ON SEVERAL KNIVES AND IT STILL DIDNT WORK. OVER $100 LATER, I STILL HAVE DULL KNIVES AND 2 SETS OF RODS THAT DONT WORK!! GOOD LUCK & GOOD RIDDENS - WARTHOG GUYS!!

Parts just BREAK too easy!!!!

Plastic parts are crap, they break way too easily. The plastic that holds the diamond plates broke, then the rubber base just came off (won't stay on at all). I finally found the plastic parts online (another $12.95) then the diamond plates wore out after a few knives. Now it will cost another $39 for rods, because manufacturer apparently doesn't warranty the rods. I GIVE UP, WARTHOG, YOU WIN! KEEP MY MONEY, I AM GOING BACK TO MY OTHER SHARPENER!

Going back to Lansky and WorkSharp

Tried this product as it looked interesting, but that is all it does!!! Look Interesting!! My knife was sharper before it put it into the machine. The diamonds were sooo rough that the blade would catch about halfway down the rods. It eventually created a nick in my blade due to my continued use... If there was a ZERO star system, i would give it a ZERO, but i have to choose 1star. SAD, SAD, SAD

GREAT IDEA, BUT JUST DOES NOT WORK

This thing is a JOKE !!!

BEWARE!! Tried it, been there, done that, DIDN'T get the T-Shirt !! Poorly designed diamond plates wore out before I got to the 3rd knife that I tried to sharpen. Tried to call the website for help, but nobody answered (not even voicemail). Then tried to call the company listed on the box (South Africa) - I am not paying for that phone call. Forget this garbage, I am going back to the old tried and true whetstone. GOOD LUCK....BEWARE!!

Received this as a gift, but would rather have the cash that this stupid thing cost. Cant tell my friend that. Anyway, i used it a few times, read the microscopic instructions a few times, watched their silly DVD a little, but still COULD NOT get this thing to work.

Buyer BEWARE ...NO WARRANTY OR SUPPORT

SOMEONE BOUGHT THIS FOR ME A FEW MONTHS AGO AND I HAVE BEEN HESITANT TO TRY IT. FINALLY READ THROUGH INSTRUCTIONS, DID EXACTLY WHAT IT SAID, AND IT MADE MY KNIVES MORE DULL THAN WHEN I STARTED. TRIED ADJUSTING THE ANGLES, THAT DIDNT WORK. SWITCHED THE RODS OUT, THAT DIDNT WORK. THEN SOMETHING SNAPPED WHEN I WAS JUST PULLING MY KNIFE THROUGH, TRIED TO SEE IF I COULD GET SOME PARTS, BUT NO ONE SEEMS TO HAVE ANYTHING. GOING BACK TO MY STONE-TRIED AND TRUE!!

used it on 5 knives then rods were smooth. diamond plating came off. when trying to take the rods out, one of the arms holding the rods, broke. save your money, buy something else
