I got this Work Sharp as a gift for my mom, mainly for her kitchen cutlery. When she opened it, I could tell she was a little intimidated. But, after demonstrating on a pairing knife, she said, "wow - I feel much more confident in using that!" Just wanted to highlight how incredibly user friendly this system is. The build quality is solid, the angle adjustment is firm and spot on, the rough, fine, and ceramic materials are of good quality, and it seems constructed to last. Bonus: I love the included pocket sharpener with hex bits. Didn't expect that. Also, additional grades of sharpening material are available for purchase to expand this system's versatility. In summation, I would recommend this product and purchase again, especially as a gift for a knife person who doesn't have time or budget for, or patience to learn about, stone sharpening. Excellent, well-thought out system overall.

Best fixed angle I've used

This thing works great and requires very little setup and even less experience. If you're the type of person who has avoided sharpening your blades free hand, or just generally have trouble doing so, get this. You too can get very sharp edges easily. I do recommend getting the upgrade kit if you want to get more refined/polished edges, though. Saw a review about the holder for the knife being held in by magnets and therefore can "fall out" and cause a potential hazard. Believe me, if this holder falls out of the unit while you're sharpening, it's because you're using WAY too much force. I've applied more pressure than you really should when sharpening and the knife remained secure in the holder, no problem.

Best sharpener out there

I've got a few very dull knives. Well they used to be after I purchase this new device my knives will shave you. I'm very impressed with this product. It gave a few of my knives a new lease on life. It's basically foolproof and anybody can do this. I gave up on free hand sharpening. I'm not good enough to freehand sharpen a knife worth a da**. But them troubles are behind me now with this device. Excellent product, from an excellent company, thank you knife center you made my life easier

Great Gift

I purchased this knife sharpener as a gift for my husband. He loves it. It was easy for him to set up & get started. Did a fine job sharpening the knives he’s worked on so far. He is excited to continue honing his knife sharpening skills, and our kids are already lining up for him to sharpen their knives.

Great tool at an affordable price

I use this sharpener to keep my EDC knives and kitchen cutlery sharp. It works very well at doing these chores. It's easy to setup and to get started quickly. The only nit I have to pick is I think it should be more stable in the clamping area where it doesn't flex (slightly) as you pass the stone over the blade. I think for the money, it's a great value and help people like me ease into the sharpening world. I highly recommend it.

Paid for itself day one !!!

This sharpener is great honestly I have had it less than 6 hours and it has paid for itself . It is easy to put together and simple to use and does a wonderful fob with pocket knives and kitchen knives .

Great Tool

This is a great option to use on blades that you may not want to mess up with other sharpening options, of which I have many. Used properly it will absolutely give a hair splitting edge on any knife AND at a great price.

Great sharpening system

Works extremely well. If you can, get the elite package for 120 or so. I have mirror polishes on all the blades I've sharpened with it but more importantly they are hair popping sharp. I had a slight issue with the case that I got originally but contacted worksharp and they were happy to send a new case and got it in the mail that day. Love this company. Every knife owner should own one of these.
