Useful and Compact Knife Sharpener

I like how well designed and compact this knife sharpener is. I can take it with me everywhere for quick sharpening in the field. Another plus is that it has a high quality which I expect will last a lifetime.

Worst sharpener ever used

The design is pretty good actually and I was hoping this compact little unit would do the trick. I tried it on numerous knives using both the steel and the ceramic sharpening guides to no avail. At first I tried a very soft stroke, then more moderate, finally I beared down. I used a few strokes, then many strokes until I tired of it all. This went on for several days or attempts you might say. I finally gave up and used a sharpening stone. The thin diamond attachment may actually work bot I didn't want to waste any more time with this.I am over 70 and have been doing my own sharpening most of my life on knives, axes, scissors and chisels so ya'll have a reference point. Truly a shame.
