Heavy Duty Combat Knife
First, the knife is s stunner. It screams combat knife. It is a bit heavy for a combat knife due to the thickness of the steel, but it is lively in the hand and properly balanced for fine tip control. The edge is outstanding. The sheath seemed like an afterthought, but it is functional and has very positive retention (maybe too positive). It deserved a leather sheath. While it could be used as a bushcraft knife, that isn't it's intended purpose. Get a Joker Nomad. But, there were a few minor quibbles. The finish along the non-sharpened edges of the steel was rough. There was a noticeable burr, but a few swipes with some 600 grit sandpaper smoothed everything out. Next, the choil had noticeable tool marks where it wasn't sanded smooth. It was unattractive, but didn't impact function at all. Just a finish oversight I wouldn't have expected on a knife in this price range. Next, the false edge could/should have been sharpened. Other than that, I love it. It isn't a Randal Model 1, but it doesn't cost that much either.
