Perfect Fixed Blade EDC

I was very lucky to receive the M1 Caper in Magnacut for Christmas. I'm typically a folding knife kind of guy but I really wanted the strength and reliability of a Fixed Blade. The M1 Caper is perfect for me. The smaller blade size gives me more comfort crossing state lines with it. The size in general makes it very pocket able. The knife came super sharp and fits into my hand better than any other fix blade I tried. I highly recommend this knife. The one thing I will be picking up is a pocket clip for the kydex sheath so I can carry it in my pocket rather than on my belt.

My 5th pocket is so happy now...

White River gives you a superior experience buying a knife with the wood case and the fit and finish of the product. But that's just the start... The M1 Caper with Micarta scales is perfect for EDC and your 5th pocket in your jeans will agree! BUT, an Ulticlip 3.3 is required to make this knife your true Nato-proof ally in your belt and 5th pocket. It truly becomes part of you in that configuration. Otherwise, the clunky stock belt clip suffers from the fate of so many fixed blades in that it becomes a waist or horizontal carry belt knife of last resort. This works so well in the 5th pocket with a 3rd party Ulti-Clip that I add a larger flipper of 4+ inches and a multi-tool in the same space to keep the Caper company. Oh, and an F12 multi-tool in my pocket carry pouch. So stand back people! Otherwise, I'll add a shorter than standard ferro rod to the sheath to fit my 5th jeans pocket and live uber-happily ever after! ;-)

If loving this White River M1 Caper is wrong, I don't wanna be right!

The entire experience of White River ownership is carefully engineered to rise above. This M1 Caper seems small at first, but it's entirely part of you when you use it and the wooden box it comes in just oozes quality. Silky smooth to use and sharp as F. The Magnacut and micarta handle version I'm reveiwing here is just invisible in the 5th pocket of my jeans as long as the handle is tucked under my belt for ease of carry along with an after market Ulti-Clip to streamline the pocket carry. My only ding on this is the sheath that is not "taco" style so it adds width in the pocket that is unnecessary if you use an after-market clip such as the Ulti-Clip 3.3. Thus far, this is the closest knife wingman I've ever had after buying the big brand folders by the dozens. Any closer with this one, and you'll need to get a blood test and a preacher!
