Not A Cheesy Knife
I went searching for a durable hard-cheese knife after snapping (with minor loss of blood) my friends' cheap and, dare I say, cheesy, steak knife while in the process of slicing cheese at their house. I felt bad about ruining their knife and worse that a flimsy knife was all they had as a sharp kitchen tool. Time for an up-grade. I always shop on KnifeCenter first if I need a blade of any sort and, true to form, KCI offered what looked like a great, purpose-built tool at a fair price...so I bought two. It's possible that my friends still think I'm odd for delivering to them a knife with "a fork?" at the tip of the blade. For my own part, I've been using the cheese knife regularly to slice all manner of dense cheeses and the forked tip works, as intended, to lift a slice of Midnight Moon off the cutting board an present it, across the table, to my wife. The only downside is the bizarre and unnecessary decorative pattern on the blade - I'd rather see the steel. Two thumbs up for overall quality and sharpness out of the box.
