Cons: Ease of Use, Fuel Consumption
expected better
This is a Zippo? Biggest gripe is the ergonomics. It's just difficult to engage the fuel aka trigger unlock on the back and then pull the piezo trigger with gusto with one hand. Seems to fire up with two hands deliberately doing what needs to be done to "safely" ignite. I've never had much luck with these high-pressure butane piezoelectric lighters at altitude. (~8000'). Sometimes it takes five or six snaps of the trigger while continuously holding the fuel button/trigger lock on for it to ignite. Once lit, it might be barely a small blue flame and other times without changing any settings it will ignite like a small torch, using up 10% of your fuel in 5 seconds. Another thing. No fuel gauge/window. And the first time I filled it, it was hissing out the fill valve for a bit. Briefly stuck a ball point pen in there and it sealed up. Must be similar items without zippo name for lower price and I'd like to think better quality and ease of use.
