This is one big knife, made with the expected Zero Tolerance precision! It took me a while to warm up to the color of the g10 scale but everything else about this knife screams toughness! This is my 16th ZT and it will see plenty of pocket time.

I know I'm late to the game dropping a review of the 0308 in 2025, but da**... What a knife! I loved the original 0300 and this is a modern reimagining of that classic with its huge 20CV blade. The action is silky smooth with those KVT bearings, and this knife locks up like bank vault. Beautiful milling on the titanium handle. Feels amazing in the hand. A very premium feeling knife. Yes, it's heavy and big -- not for the weak at heart. Plus, as always with ZT, made in the USA!

Big!
This a big and a bit heavy knife. It’s opens very easily almost as though it’s assisted. That’s saying something considering it’s size. Zero break in required. Many knives I’ve purchased needed break in which can be a big pain in the behind and the thumb. It’s something I can sure do without. The handle fits like a glove in my medium size hand but I suspect it will fit all hand sizes as well. The G10 side of the handle is surprisingly “grippy” which helps when doing heavy work and this knife is made for big jobs. It came factory sharp but with a little stropping it shaves hair in no time. It’s not a gentleman’s knife it’s a man’s knife and I’ll use it every chance I get. It’s too expensive so I suggest keeping an eye on it till it’s on sale as I did. If you want a large folder that can handle about anything get this one. I rate it a bit over Microtech Socoms of which I have three due to the blade being thinner.

This is my first Zero Tolerance knife and I'm very pleased with it. The opening action is satisfying and crisp. Bearing system is silky smooth and has no perceivable play. Lock tension feels nearly perfect to me with practically no lock-stick. Over-built construction and great quality-control. Blade is perfectly centered. Edge sharpness and symmetry is very good. The titanium/G10 handle is lightweight reasonably comfortable for a folding-knife. If I had to nit-pick anything, I might opt for a slightly more aggressive texturing on the handle, but this is just my personal preference. This will definitely not be my last ZT knife purchase.

Sadly this is my first ZT, I was skeptical because of the price and how ZT has gotten some negative reviews before about their heat treat. I went ahead and pulled the trigger on this knife and couldn’t be happier! Amazing action, awesome full size with a great/useful shaped blade! Now the most important part, I tested the HRC at work since I work in Quality at a manufacturing company and I took 3 readings (60.3, 60.1, 60.5)!! I could not be happier with the edge retention as well, truly amazing performance from ZT!!!

I’m a collector but I also love to fiddle with my pieces. As far as quality goes this is absolutely flawless out the box. Great effortless flipper and ergonomics. Blade finish ad sharpness is crazy good. If you’re thinking about it, buy it!

Edc 2 years and the bearings to open the blade are soo freaking smooth! Not too heavy or large but just right. Edge retention is great.

I'll start with the negatives. My box had been opened(instructions had been refolded). Pocket clip was my first ever on the left side(yes easily Fixed). Pocket clip scratched easily and sat the blade too high(easily remedied with a spare Benchmade clip I had-fit perfectly). Side thickness is unequal and still slightly annoying. I would like some jimping behind the top of the blade, on the rear on top and on the bottom behind the edge. I would have preferred micarta over G10(big micarta fan). Blade is a bit wide for what I would deem a perfect EDC(my other EDC in my rotation is a Benchmade 810). Once tweaked and worked in, the action and lockup are spectacular. The opening THWACK will get attention. Comfortable in the hand in almost all grips makes various cutting chores possible. Width of the blade presents some challenge but the harpoon design gives leverage to alleviate most positions were it might not fit. First occasion with this steel and it lives up to the price(I still swear by M390). Razor sharp when it arrived, took some doing to dull. Definitely not the easiest to sharpen. Fit and finish are excellent. Frame lock is still easier than any liner lock I've used and is very comfortable. I expect this blade to be handed down Number 2 in my two blade EDC rotation, not inexpensive-but worth it if you're willing to part with it.

Unbelievable blade but....
I have several ZT knives and love them all. In fact, if they had a ZT Anonymous meeting I'd probably have to go. I was very excited to see the release of the 308 and the return to sturdy knife development. In a week, I have already used this for everything that can be done in a camp and climbing setting including masticating garlic. This blade is an absolute bruiser and is no joke you could just about use it as a diving board and yet the total package still remains slim. The handle as described is very robust and it feels like a work of art in my hand. It has been confidence inspiring for bot wet and dry work. The only thing I have noticed is that the custom nut on the opener. I have tightened this four times in a week, and it seems to continually works loose with usage. I am afraid that I am going to loose it and of course that makes me think twice about taking the knife out with me. I am curious if anyone else hase expirienced this issue.

Feels great in the hand, good blade shape, decent but slightly outdated steel. My favorite ZT overall. Wished they had made a full titanium version.
