Excellent ETC, Well Made & Sturdy
Knife is very well made with excellent fit and finish. It was quite sharp right out of the box. It's very sturdy with a relatively thick, wide blade. The liners are also thicker than on most folders, and the liner lock seems much stronger and sturdier than most -- no fear of the knife folding under hard use, and it fits nicely in your hand. However, this knife is bit too heavy to qualify as a "gentleman's" knife. The only criticism I have of this knife is the thumb studs -- as far as I'm concerned, they're useless for opening the knife (although they do press against the case when the knife is open, helping to stabilize the blade). Because of where they're placed (too close to the pivot, in my estimation), it takes extreme pressure to open the blade with the thumb studs, so much that you are apt to rip the skin off the tip of your thumb before the blade will open. Loosening the pivot screw doesn't help, nor does oiling the pivot. It's an insignificant complaint, however, as the index-finger flipper works very well.
