Designed by custom knifemaker Dirk Pinkerton, the Kansept Anomaly Flipper series pairs highly ergonomic handles with efficient blade profiles. These folders offer exceptionally smooth deployment and a range of materials to suit different aesthetic preferences.

Who designed the Kansept Anomaly?
The Anomaly was designed by Dirk Pinkerton, a respected custom knifemaker known for his highly functional and ergonomic designs. His influence is clearly visible in the security of the grip and the clean lines of the blade geometry.
What blade steel does the Kansept Anomaly use?
Most models in the series feature premium CPM-S35VN stainless steel, which is highly regarded for its balance of edge retention, toughness, and ease of sharpening. Select variants also feature Damascus steel.
How does the Kansept Anomaly deploy?
The Kansept Anomaly uses a flipper tab that rides on ball bearings in the pivot for a smooth, glassy action. While the blade features a decorative fuller resembling an old-school long pull, the flipper tab is the primary and most effective opening method.
What blade shapes are available in the Anomaly series?
The series is available with either a straight back or a tanto blade shape. The tanto variants are ground with compound flat grinds rather than hollow grinds, ensuring a strong and durable tip.
Does the Kansept Anomaly use a frame lock or a liner lock?
The Kansept Anomaly series offers both options depending on the handle materials. The premium titanium handle variants utilize a frame lock, while the G10, carbon fiber, and Timascus models utilize a steel liner lock.
