Kansept Knives Hinterland Folding Knives

Most models in the Kansept Hinterland series utilize CPM-S35VN stainless steel, while select premium versions feature Damascus steel. CPM-S35VN provides an excellent balance of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance, making it a reliable choice for a high-performance folding knife.

The Hinterland series is constructed with titanium handles and integral bolsters, offering a variety of inlay materials including copper carbon fiber, lightning strike carbon fiber, and green micarta. These handle configurations provide a premium feel and durable construction, often paired with titanium pocket clips that are secured from the inside for a clean look.

The Kansept Hinterland features a unique stepped thumb platform rather than a traditional thumb stud, providing a high-traction surface for easy opening. The blade also includes a fuller that can be used for flicking the knife open, though it is relatively shallow and requires an intentional movement to engage properly.

The Kansept Hinterland features a full-sized handle with distinct finger grooves, though users with very large fingers may find the grooves a bit tight. However, the design remains comfortable in a full grip, as the back half of the handle provides ample real estate for secure control during heavy cutting tasks.

The Kansept Hinterland features a 3.6-inch clip point blade, often described as having characteristics of a drop point due to its stout geometry. The blade is ground relatively high to balance cutting efficiency with the strength needed for more demanding outdoor or utility work.
