Kansept Niko Fixed Blade FAQ

Designed by Marco Panella, the Kansept Niko combines an upswept skinner-style blade with a tactical rear finger ring and an adaptable Kydex sheath.

What type of blade steel and grind does the Kansept Niko have?
The Kansept Niko features a 3.5-inch blade made from D2 tool steel with an upswept skinner profile and a saber-height flat grind. At approximately 5/32 of an inch thick, the blade stock provides solid strength and dependable slicing capability for utility tasks and package opening.
What carry options does the Kansept Niko sheath offer?
The Kansept Niko includes a molded Kydex sheath with an adjustable J-hook belt attachment for quick on-and-off carry. It comes configured for vertical carry, but loosening two screws allows you to rotate the clip for horizontal or canted angles. The sheath eyelets are also compatible with aftermarket mounts such as a Tek-Lok.
How are the ergonomics and rear finger ring designed to be used?
The rear finger ring allows for secure retention and supports standard, reverse, or pinch grips. A standard grip gives full control across the handle, while pinch grips allow you to position the upswept tip lower for detailed slicing and utility work.
What handle materials are available in the Kansept Niko series?
The Kansept Niko lineup includes handle options in textured frag-pattern titanium, canvas Micarta, and carbon fiber. Depending on the specific variant, handle finishes range from bronze or blue anodized titanium to twill carbon fiber and colored Micarta scales.
