“Pretatout” is a French term that translates to “ready for anything.” True to its name, the Kansept Pretatout is designed as a highly versatile, general-purpose pocket knife capable of handling everything from daily utility tasks to tactical applications.
What blade shape is featured on the Kansept Pretatout?
The Pretatout series features a hybrid tanto blade profile that blends traditional and Western elements. It utilizes compound flat grinds and incorporates a significant amount of belly on the leading edge, making it much more practical for everyday slicing compared to standard, highly angular tanto designs.
What steel is used for the Kansept Pretatout blades?
The standard Kansept Pretatout utilizes 154CM stainless steel with a black stonewashed finish, while premium variants feature Damascus steel. The 154CM option offers an excellent balance of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance for daily carry.
How do you open the Kansept Pretatout?
The Kansept Pretatout offers three distinct deployment methods: a flipper tab, dual thumb studs, and dual fullers milled into each side of the blade. The blade rides smoothly on ball bearings, allowing for fast and reliable action regardless of your preferred opening method.
