Leatherman Wave

The Wave Alpha upgrades the classic design with step-milled G10 handle scales, a premium MagnaCut steel blade, and redesigned tool access. The G10 scales are thicker and more ergonomic than the original folded metal handle, which greatly increases user comfort and provides additional clearance to prevent hand pinching when using the pliers.

The primary blade on the Leatherman Wave Alpha is made from MagnaCut steel, providing excellent strength and edge retention. Thanks to the high performance of this steel, the plain-edge sheepsfoot blade stays sharp long enough that a separate serrated blade is no longer necessary, allowing that slot to be repurposed for other tools.

The Wave Alpha replaces the original serrated blade with a large, outside-accessible pair of scissors and replaces the internal small scissors with an awl featuring a sewing eye. Additionally, the saw and file now feature cut-out holes to make them much easier to open with one hand.
