The Gen 3 is designed as a heavy-duty one-tool option for survival and wilderness tasks. Drawing from the brand's Genesis bushcraft heritage, its 5/32-inch thick blade provides ample wedging force to baton and split timber, while the tall blade height and full flat grind still slice effectively during food prep and butchering.
What blade steel does the L.T. Wright Gen 3 use?
Current Gen 3 models are made with O1 or O2 high-carbon tool steel. These tool steels provide high impact toughness, reliable edge retention, and straightforward field sharpening when maintaining an edge in remote areas.
How are the handles constructed on the Gen 3?
Gen 3 handles use durable canvas Micarta scales fastened with brass bolts and two-ton marine-grade epoxy.
