Petrified Fish PFP08 Mocado Flipper

The Petrified Fish Mocado is built with Bohler K110 tool steel, an Austrian-produced D2 variant known for reliable edge retention and wear resistance. Because K110 is a semi-stainless steel, keeping the blade clean and lightly oiled will prevent surface corrosion during regular use.

The Mocado features a compound tanto blade that performs much like a modified clip point. It includes a subtle secondary transition near the tip for added piercing strength without the blunt chisel front edge found on standard Americanized tantos.

The Mocado offers dual deployment through either an index flipper tab or oversized, machined thumb studs. Internal ball bearings in the pivot ensure a smooth, low-friction opening and a clean drop-shut closing action.

The Mocado series offers two-tone G10 handles in yellow/black and blue/black, as well as patterned White G-Mascus and carbon fiber inlay options. All variants feature an open-pillar construction with a G10 backspacer and an integrated lanyard slot for straightforward cleaning.

Every model in the Mocado series includes a solid milled titanium pocket clip. A sculpted titanium clip is a rare feature in the $50 to $65 range, offering durable pocket retention without bending like traditional stamped sheet metal.
