The Emu utilizes the Glyde lock, which is QSP's version of a crossbar lock. This ambidextrous mechanism allows the blade to be opened and closed without your fingers ever crossing the path of the edge, and it provides enough tension to support a crisp, snappy flipping action.

Every variant in the QSP Emu series features a 3.25-inch blade made from Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel. This steel is highly regarded for its excellent corrosion resistance and its ability to take and hold a very fine edge, especially when paired with the Emu's high flat grind.

The Emu features a reverse tanto blade, which combines a reinforced tip for piercing with a slightly curved edge for slicing. This profile is particularly effective for heavy-duty utility tasks where tip strength and controlled cutting are priorities.
