RoseCraft Blades F Series FAQ
The RoseCraft Blades F Series represents the brand's first venture into hard-use fixed blades, expanding on their reputation for traditional slipjoints. Featuring durable 1095 carbon steel and individual designs from distinct knife makers, this series delivers heavy-duty performance at an accessible price point.
What steel is used in the RoseCraft F Series fixed blades?
Every knife in the RoseCraft F Series features 1095 carbon steel. This classic steel is chosen for its excellent balance of toughness, edge retention, and ease of sharpening, making it ideal for hard-use outdoor and utility tasks.
What kind of sheath comes with the RoseCraft F Series?
Each model in the series includes a custom-molded Kydex sheath. The sheaths are equipped with an adjustable DOTS-style belt clip that can be sized to fit different belt widths and supports both horizontal and vertical carry options.
How do the blade shapes differ across the F Series models?
The series offers four distinct blade shapes to suit different preferences. The F1 features a 4-inch drop point blade optimized for hunting and general utility; the F2 has a 4.4-inch upswept trailing point for slicing; the F3 offers a compact 3.15-inch drop point that works well for EDC; and the F4 uses a stout 4-inch clip point blade that leans tactical.
Can you strip the blade coating on the RoseCraft F Series?
Yes, you can easily strip the coating on the F2, F3, and F4 models, which feature a traditional textured powder coating. This coating can be removed with standard paint stripper or paint thinner if you prefer bare steel, whereas the F1 model features a highly durable gray PVD coating that cannot be easily stripped.
What handle materials are used on the F Series knives?
The F Series utilizes either G10 or linen Micarta handles depending on the model. The F1 features green G10 scales with red liners, while the F2, F3, and F4 models utilize linen Micarta handles paired with orange, white, and yellow liners respectively.
