Sencut TEXO Neck Knife FAQ

Designed by Ostap Hel, the Sencut TEXO is an ultra-compact utility fixed blade optimized for discreet neck carry and detailed cutting tasks.

What blade steel does the Sencut TEXO use?
The Sencut TEXO uses 9Cr-series stainless steel, which performs similarly to 440C. It offers a dependable balance of corrosion resistance, edge retention, and easy field sharpening.
How does the Sencut TEXO handle fit in the hand?
The TEXO features a skeletonized handle with a milled twist pattern and frame jimping for traction. It provides roughly a two-and-a-half finger grip on its own, but the included box braid lanyard extends the rear of the handle for a more secure, comfortable hold.
How is the Sencut TEXO carried?
The knife includes a slim Kydex sheath set up for neck carry via an included ball chain. It is configured primarily for neck wear out of the box, so mounting aftermarket belt hardware may require drilling additional holes into the sheath.
What cutting tasks is the Sencut TEXO best for?
With its compact blade measuring just under two inches and ample spine jimping, the TEXO excels at precise utility work. Placing your index finger on the spine provides exceptional control for scoring materials and opening boxes.
Who designed the Sencut TEXO?
The TEXO was designed by custom knifemaker Ostap Hel in partnership with Sencut Knives, offering a sleek, budget-friendly everyday carry fixed blade for under $30.
