Most Vosteed Mink models use Nitro-V blade steel, which is selected for its impressive toughness and resistance to chipping during hard use. Some variants are also available in 14C28N stainless steel, offering a reliable balance of edge retention and corrosion resistance for everyday tasks.

The Vosteed Mink excels as a compact hunting knife, a companion camp knife, or an everyday carry fixed blade. Its nearly full flat grind provides excellent slicing efficiency, while the dual sections of gimping on the spine offer the precise control needed for skinning or detailed utility work.

The Mink series features frag-milled handles in Micarta or G10 that provide significant traction without being abrasive to the hand. The Micarta handles specifically become tackier when wet, ensuring a secure grip during processing tasks or in inclement weather.

Each Vosteed Mink includes a Kydex sheath that features a secure click-in fit and a versatile mounting attachment. The sheath design allows for both vertical and horizontal carry on a belt, providing multiple options to suit your specific gear setup.

The standard Vosteed Mink features a 3.33-inch clip point blade, whereas the Mink XL increases the blade length to approximately 4 inches and utilizes a sheepsfoot profile. Both versions maintain the durable full-tang construction and ergonomic handle design characteristic of the series.

The Vosteed Mink weighs approximately 5 ounces for the knife itself, which offers a sturdy feel without adding excessive bulk to your kit. While the Kydex sheath adds a small amount of additional weight, the overall package remains compact enough for hiking and backpacking.
