"Knives have always been a part of my life. I received my first pocket knife from my father at the age of five, for my birthday. Sine then, my love grew more and more into the world of knives. At the age of 13, I started making fixed blade knives, made out of an old file and a stone grinder. It was ground down using an old motor purchased at a flea market. They were crude, but those were my humble beginnings and had so much fun doing them.
I was fortunate enough to meet Mr. Bill Ruple, who introduced me to the professional world of knife making. He not only honed my skills in the art of making slipjoint, and also helped me understand the market. Now I consider him a great friend.
My shop no longer employs a stone grinder to build knives, now I have a shop equipped with all kinds of grinders, milling machines, metal lathe, surface grinders, and such equipment. I have created my knife making career building folders. I started building traditional slipjoint, which I still build and have added to my product line tactical folding knives, and EDC gear as well.
My goal is to always be best at what I do. I strive to create unique knives. As you can see, I like to blend old styles with modern building techniques and modern materials. This is my full-time job and I take great pride in what I do. I hope the people that support me by buying my knives, greatly enjoy them as much as I enjoy building them."
