Description

ACU1816PBKF: Eagle Folding Knife, Black G10

With a wickedly curved blade and aggressively designed profile, the Eagle from ArtisanCutlery is one cool knife. The 3.46" hawkbill blade has a stonewashed finish and excels at those cutting tasks where a solid grip with a cutting surface is necessary, such as cutting rope. The shape of the textured G10 handles combined with the blade shape evokes the claw of its namesake, the Eagle. The flipping action rides on ceramic ball bearings and makes deploying this knife a dream to deploy.

Pros: Blade Material, Blade Sharpness, Ease of Opening, Handle Feel, Handle Material, Lock Type, Sheath
Cons: Lock Ease of Use, Overall Quality, Pocket Clip, Weight
It's alright
The D2 blade is sharpened very well out of the box. It also sharpens quite nicely. I like the texturing on the handle, not the most ergonomic but it feels decent. The G10 also seems to be good quality. The gripe I have with the knife is it's overall construction. When the blade closes it comes in contact with the right side handle liner, and the blade is no where near centered when closed. Thankfully the edge of the blade isn't what is hitting the side of the handle. However over time if the blade is used enough and grinded down enough it could be the edge coming in contact with the handle, potentially damaging the edge and affecting it's cutting ability. In short I think the knife is composed of great materials, however the build quality is poor enough to affect the potential longevity of the knife. This is my first Knife Center purchase, it shipped very quickly and will definitely be shopping here again.
