Description

BC457MB: 457GB Drop Point Slipjoint Folding Knife - Blue Jean Micarta

Bear & Son Cutlery

While knives have evolved greatly over the last hundred years, sometimes you just can't beat the classics. Meet the Bear and Son 457 - a modern-day slipjoint knife using modern materials. Adorned with a stonewashed drop point blade and beautiful blue jean Micarta, the 457 is just as slicey as it is beautiful. One of the more modern aspects of this knife is the addition of a deep carry pocket clip, as most slipjoints of old did not include pocket clips. With enough blade to handle most EDC tasks, the 457 is a faithful homage to knife history with some modern tweaks that we adore, and we're sure you will too.

Pros: Blade Sharpness, Handle Feel, Handle Material, Lock Ease of Use, Overall Quality
Cons: None
very nice slipjoint
First Bear & Sons knife. I was a little leery, but decided to give them a try. Very impressive and I'll try more of their products. Fresh out of the box, the blade is very sharp ( not like Case). There's a half stop, which I think all slip joints should have. The micarta feels and looks great. This is on the large side for a non-locking folder, but it's still an easy carry. Recommended

Bear and Son Have Really Stepped Up Their Game
I have purchased several Bear & Son knifes over the years. Some have been good and some have been only okay. But, I have stuck with them because I want them to succeed. The 457GB is a huge step forward. I love the feel of the micarta. The blade action is great and the dentent works great.I'm not complaining, but just a suggest - take the next leap and go to a "super" steel.
