The Stylum is part of the new breed of gentleman's folder that makes accessing and closing the blade as easy as can be. It's a front flipper double detent slipjoint design with ceramic bearings so both the opening and closing action are quite smooth. The blade is a deep-bellied drop point with a small finger choil and high flat grind. The simple handle has a single finger groove and a slightly curved shape which makes it very ergonomic for all users. Rounding out the design is a deep carry bayonet pocket clip that allows for right-hand carry. Elliot and Chirs nailed it with the Stylum, a vastly different beast than what we're used to from the men behind Ferrum Forge.

Having carried most days over the last 2+ years, this knife is way more than the sum of its parts. It disappears in my pocket, and does everything I need a non-locking knife to do plus some things it probably shouldn't. The detent is pretty stiff, which I think is perfect since it's held open by the detent as well. It took me a little while to be able to lighter-flick open but after getting the hang of it there's no trouble - plus it never double-bounces back open after flicking closed. Friends and coworkers frequently handle it without intimidation or confusion (which is weird to say but sometimes people seem to struggle with locking knives). The convenience of a non-locking knife with fast and precise one-hand opening knife really can't be overstated.
