The Bear Ops AC-1600 is part of the Auto Bold Action XVI series. The spear point 3.03" blade edge is made with Sandvik 14C28N Premium Steel with a Black Finish allowing for a tough blade with great edge retention. The blade quickly opens with a press of the recessed button with a safety lock switch just below. The profile of the handle has a comfortable design and a large finger groove to further enhance the comfort of use. The aluminum 4" handle features a pocket clip for tip-up carry. The Bear Ops AC-1600 has an overall length of 7" and weighs 2.6 ounces. Bold Action XV is proudly made in the USA.

Cons: Ease of Opening, Lock Ease of Use, Lock Type
Won't lock open
Nice size, weight, etc. Blade is good! Sharp on arrival, no touch up required. Construction seems okay. Materials seem okay. Handle is a shade small, but it's not a large folder - about 4.0" closed. I thought it would be a good EDC for me - arthritis is causing me to have trouble with one-hand opening knives.Release button is small and doesn't protrude very far so I have to work a little to depress it.Blade deploys quickly, but hits the stop hard enough that the lock does not have time to engage so the blade begins returning to it's closed position stopping about 10 to 15 degrees from open.Too bad. Could be a good deal at a decent price otherwise.I'm contacting KCI to see if they have a solution. I'll let you know.
