25 years of regular use
I bought this knife in 2000 largely because I just liked how it looked but it's been put to good use ever since for everything from everyday tasks on the farm to skinning and dressing game.The metallurgy nerds will tell you it isn't the best steel as if only the finest steels are of any use. The tip is fragile and has had to be reshaped a few times in 25 years and an edge finer than 20 degrees is quite brittleA knife doesn't need a razor sharp edge to be sharp. It takes an edge well from ceramic stones and holds it. Easily restored with a few honing strokes.It is perfectly balanced in the hand. The resin infused handle isn't the grippiest when covered in blood but it's probably why it still looks new after all these years. The rubber handled variant is likely worse in this regard.
